COOKING TIPS

There’s nothing quite like the comfort of a family meal with Porky Whites premium sausages. Whether you’re popping them in the oven, grilling them, or cooking on the griddle, our simple guide shows you how to get them perfectly cooked - juicy on the inside, golden on the outside, and ready to enjoy together.

HOW TO OVEN BAKE PORKY WHITES

Place your Porky Whites on a baking tray in the centre of a pre-heated over at 180 degrees Celsius for 25-30 minutes turning occasionally until they are golden brown on the outside, any juices run clear and the inside is pale in colour with no pink meat visible.

For fan assisted ovens adjust your cooking time according to the manufacturer’s handbook.

HOW TO OVEN GRILL / AIR FRY PORKY WHITES

Place your Porky Whites – avoid pricking your Porkys as this will result in a dry and less flavourful sausage - on a grill pan in the centre of a pre-heated grill at 190 degrees Celsius for 15-20 minutes turning occasionally until they are golden brown on the outside, any juices run clear and the inside is pale in colour with no pink meat visible.

HOW TO GRIDDLE PORKY WHITES

Brush your griddle (pan or flat-top) with a little oil and heat it until hot. Cook your Porky Whites over a low-medium heat approximately 15 minutes turning occasionally until they are golden brown on the outside, any juices run clear and the inside is pale in colour with no pink meat visible.Place your Porky Whites – avoid pricking your Porkys as this will result in a dry and less flavourful sausage - on a grill pan in the centre of a pre-heated grill at 190 degrees Celsius for 15-20 minutes turning occasionally until they are golden brown on the outside, any juices run clear and the inside is pale in colour with no pink meat visible.

- PRO TIP FOR BBQs -

Place your Porky Whites into a large pan, add water to cover them and then par-boil until sausage is grey throughout (about 10 to 15 minutes.) You’ll know they’re ready to come out of their bath when they float to the surface and then grill/cook them slowly.

If you want to use the next day, plunge into ice cold water to stop the cooking process and then transfer to the fridge.
