We’re proud of our Surrey roots and as a family we know the importance of supporting others especially when they’re in need. That’s why we’re excited to be able to offer our sausages to the good folk at Shooting Star Children’s Hospice!

Starting from October 2025, we’ll be delivering a bumper pack of product freshly made in our Woking factory to the charities Guildford hospice, Christopher’s which provides respite and specialist nursing. We hope our bangers will bring a smile and a much-needed opportunity to bring the family to the table through good food.

Back in July Surrey Hill Enterprises (SHE), a not-for-profit championing sustainable local enterprise and community wellbeing, announced a charity partnership with Shooting Star Children’s Hospices to raise awareness, drive fundraising, and deepen community engagement across the county.

Managing Director of Porky Whites, Francesca Wyatt said;

“I had the privilege to hear how Shooting Star Children’s Hospice is supporting families navigate one, if not the toughest, challenge; caring for a sick or dying child. So as a mum myself I felt driven to want to lend my support and do something that would make a difference. Supplying sausages to their Guildford canteen might be a small gesture, but we know it will make a huge difference to families who have so much to bear.”

Community Fundraiser Bea Welch commented;

“We’re so appreciative of the support of Porky Whites, and I’m really looking forward to our families and staff getting the chance to enjoy their delicious sausages!”

About Shooting Star Children’s Hospice

The story of Shooting Star began as two separate children’s hospice charities. CHASE which was founded in 1994 and The Shooting Star Trust founded in 1995. In April 2011, the two charities merged to become Shooting Star Chase, with the two hospices – Christopher’s in Guildford and Shooting Star House in Hampton – able to provide more care for more children and families across west London and Surrey. In February 2019 we updated our name to Shooting Star Children’s Hospices, to provide greater clarity about what we do. Today, they are a leading children’s hospice charity supporting over 700children, and their families, throughout Surrey and across 14 boroughs of London, 365 days a year.
