We’re delighted to share a piece of news that means a great deal to our whole team: Porky Whites has been awarded an AA+ grade in our recent unannounced BRCGS Food Safety audit. This is the highest rating a site can achieve and a real milestone for the business.
For anyone who isn’t familiar with BRCGS, this grade confirms that our food safety and quality standards aren’t just strong, they’re consistently strong, even when an auditor turns up without warning. It’s a genuine test of how a site operates on an ordinary working day, not a polished inspection moment.
What the BRCGS Standard Actually Covers
The BRCGS Global Standard for Food Safety is one of the most widely recognised frameworks in the industry. Retailers of all sizes rely on it because it gives them confidence that products are being made safely, legally, and to a dependable standard every time.
During an audit, inspectors look at how well a business manages key areas such as

The audit also highlights the strength of our Georgiana Madaras, Porky Whites Technical Manager, who oversee everything from HACCP controls to training and ongoing monitoring. Her work underpins almost every part of the standard.
