
The UK absolutely LOVES a traditional Christmas pork stuffing, but have you ever thought of turning it into a decadent festive sausage roll? We’ll mix together Porky Whites Traditional Pork Sausage Meat with chestnuts and festive spices then roll it up with a chunk of mozzarella cheese into some flakey puff pastry and bake until light and fluffy. Lay it on the table as a centrepiece then slice and enjoy! Cheese Pull in-bound!
Serves 6
1 - Begin by making the sausage filling by combining the Porky Whites Traditional Pork Sausage Meat with the chopped chestnuts, nutmeg and season with salt and pepper to taste and mix well.
2- Roll out the pre-rolled puff pastry then add the sausage meat to one side and flatten out slightly then add the strip of mozzarella cucina into the middle pressing down firmly.
3 - Roll the sausage roll up tightly and lightly brush with egg wash then sprinkle the top with black pepper and crushed pink peppercorns then bake in the oven at 200°C for 35 minutes until the sausage roll is golden, crispy and cooked through.
4 - Leave to stand for 5 minutes then slice and serve up immediately.

- 100g cooked chestnuts, roughly chopped
- ½ tsp nutmeg
- 100g mozzarella Cucina, cut into a thick strip
- 1 sheet of pre-rolled puff pastry

- Pink peppercorns, crushed
- Salt and pepper to taste
