How do you source the meat that goes into your products?
All the meat sourced for our retail range comes from within the UK. We always ensure that animal welfare is a priority and 100% of our suppliers for our retail range are Red Tractor accredited.
Which cuts of pork go into your pork sausages?
Lots is said about what goes into a sausage but let us be completely clear – only the finest cuts of pork belly and shoulder goes into a Porky White pork sausage. And only the leanest cuts go into our Porky Lights sausages and beef burgers.
Is a high meat content better?
Meat content is a contentious subject in the world of sausages. It's a common belief that the higher the meat content, the better the sausage. The truth is that a very high meat content can mean the resulting sausage can be hard and dry. British sausage consumers enjoy a meat content of around 82% when made with quality cuts of shoulder and belly. This gives us the perfect balance of taste, texture and succulence. There you go, the secret is out!

All of our sausages and burgers are made in the UK and we still have a factory in Surrey (where it all began back in 1935). Our name has entered into local folklore over the decades and we are as Surrey as it gets. We're proud to be able to claim our place as a truly British brand, through and through.
